Laser Hair Removal

Long-lasting hair reduction for nearly any area of the body. Our laser safely and effectively targets hair follicles to leave you with smoother skin and far less time spent shaving or waxing.

What It Is

Laser hair removal is a safe, effective treatment that uses concentrated light energy to target and disable hair follicles, dramatically reducing hair growth over a series of sessions. The laser is absorbed by pigment in the hair follicle, damaging the follicle and inhibiting future growth. Benefits include long-term hair reduction, smoother skin, no more ingrown hairs, freedom from shaving and waxing routines, and saved time and money over the years. We treat virtually any area of the body, including the face, underarms, bikini line, legs, back, chest, and arms. With technology suited for a range of skin tones, we will assess your skin type carefully and determine safety and efficacy.

How It Works

Before treatment, the area should be cleanly shaved (within 24 hours). Your provider will apply a numbing gel and you'll wear protective eyewear. The laser handpiece is then passed over the treatment area, with most clients describing the sensation as a quick rubber band snap accompanied by cooling. Treatment time varies from 10 minutes (small area) to 60+ minutes (large area). Most clients need 6–8 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart for face, or 6–8 weeks apart for body, to achieve significant reduction. Hair grows in cycles, so multiple treatments are needed to catch all hairs in their active growth phase. Annual touch-ups may be needed to maintain results.

Ideal Candidate

Laser hair removal is ideal for adults with unwanted hair on virtually any area of the body. Modern technology makes it effective for a wide range of skin tones, though it works best when there's contrast between hair and skin color. Very light hair (blonde, gray, white, red) is challenging to treat because there's not enough pigment for the laser to target. Laser hair removal is not recommended during pregnancy, with tanned or sunburned skin, on photosensitizing medications, or for those with certain skin conditions. We'll match the right laser settings to your skin during consultation.

Aftercare & Recovery

Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 4 weeks before and after treatment. Skip waxing, plucking, and threading between sessions; only shaving is allowed (as the hair follicle must remain in place for the laser to target it). Apply aloe or hydrating products to soothe mild redness. Avoid hot showers, saunas, and intense exercise for 24 hours. Wear SPF 30+ daily. Some hairs will appear to grow over the next 1–2 weeks before falling out. This is normal and indicates treatment is working.

Common questions

How many treatments do I need?

Most clients need 6–8 sessions for significant reduction, with maintenance treatments 1–2 times per year.

Is laser hair removal permanent?

It provides permanent hair reduction, most clients see 80–90% reduction. Some hair may return over time, which is why annual maintenance helps sustain smoothness.

Does laser hair removal hurt?

Most clients tolerate it well thanks to our cooling system. Sensitive areas (bikini, upper lip) may feel slightly more intense, but it's brief.

Can I get laser hair removal on darker skin?

Yes, modern laser technology safely treats darker skin tones. We use specific wavelengths and settings designed for melanin-rich skin.

How should I prep for my appointment?

Shave the treatment area within 24 hours of your appointment. Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanner for 4 weeks before. Don't wax or pluck between sessions.
