Juvederm
A versatile family of hyaluronic acid fillers used to restore lost volume, plump lips, and smooth deeper folds. Long-lasting and beautifully natural.
What It Is
Juvederm is a family of FDA-approved hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers designed to restore volume, smooth lines, and enhance facial features. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in your skin that attracts and retains moisture, giving skin its plump, youthful appearance. Different Juvederm formulations target different concerns. Voluma adds volume to cheeks, Volbella enhances lips and softens fine lines, Vollure smooths nasolabial folds, and Ultra Plus adds fuller lip volume. Results are immediate, natural-looking, and long-lasting.
How It Works
Your treatment begins with a consultation to assess your facial structure and discuss your aesthetic goals. Your provider will select the appropriate Juvederm formulation and inject it strategically into the targeted areas. Most Juvederm products contain lidocaine to enhance comfort during treatment, and topical numbing is also available. Sessions typically take 30–60 minutes depending on the areas treated. Results are visible immediately, though some swelling may temporarily exaggerate the appearance for the first few days. Final results settle within 2 weeks and last anywhere from 9 months to 2 years depending on the product used.
Ideal Candidate
Juvederm is ideal for adults experiencing volume loss, fine lines, deeper folds, or those wanting subtle enhancement to lips, cheeks, or jawline. It's especially well-suited for clients in their 30s and beyond who notice their face thinning or lines deepening. Juvederm should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or by clients with active skin infections or certain autoimmune conditions.
Aftercare & Recovery
Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive heat (saunas, sun exposure) for 24–48 hours. Apply ice gently to reduce swelling. Avoid touching or pressing on treated areas. Mild swelling, bruising, and tenderness are normal and typically resolve within 3–7 days. Avoid blood-thinning supplements and medications (when medically appropriate) for several days before and after treatment to reduce bruising. Stay hydrated to support optimal results.

Common questions
- Does Juvederm hurt?
Most Juvederm products contain built-in lidocaine for comfort, and we use topical numbing as well. Most clients describe the sensation as mild pressure.
- How long does Juvederm last?
Depending on which Juvederm product is used and the area treated, results last 9 months to 2 years.
- Will I look overdone?
Not when treated by an experienced provider focused on natural results. Our goal is enhancement that looks like the best version of you.
- Can Juvederm be reversed?
Yes. Because Juvederm is hyaluronic acid-based, it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase (Hylenex) if needed.
- When will I see final results?
You'll see immediate results, but final results settle in around 2 weeks once any swelling has resolved.
