Peel Your Way to
Healthier Looking Skin
There’s nothing quite as satisfying as peeling off a mask or a pore strip and seeing all the gunk you have removed from your face. But what if that mask could do more than just clean your pores? What if it could treat your old high school acne scars, or even the wrinkles creeping up around your eyes?
Chemical peels have been around since the 1920s, and have only gotten more effective (not to mention safer.) with time. They can be one of the least invasive and most effective ways to restore your skin to its natural healthy, glowing state.
We exclusively use PCA chemical peels. They are uniquely designed to be very well tolerated yet extremely effective. All of the peels we do are all 100% customized to you and your skins specific needs. There are various different intensities and different products that can be added in according to your needs.
A chemical peel is the process of removing layers of damaged skin cells to promote healthy skin cell growth and restore uneven, textured, or damaged skin.
In a chemical peel, a qualified practitioner will apply an acid based chemical which causes the skin to tighten and eventually heavily exfoliate, revealing beautiful, radiant and new fresh skin underneath.
There are three levels of peel: light, medium, and deep. Light peels are the most comfortable and take the least amount of time to complete. Medium peels are slightly more intense and may require your practitioner to take additional time between passes. Deep peels are the most intense, and often are performed on patients who are not new to peels and who feel very comfortable with the process.
Yes. Although the process sounds scary, chemical peels are generally a very safe procedure with little risk of infection or scarring. To ensure that your chemical peel experience is as risk-free as possible, make sure you are receiving treatment from an experienced and qualified practitioner.
The cost of a chemical peel varies based on intensity. Light peels can cost as little as $150, and deeper peels can cost up to $400. Most patients start with a light, gentle peel which costs $150 and then begin to add things on or chose to do more aggressive treatments.
Light peels are best for patients with acne, fine lines or wrinkles, rough texture and uneven skin tones. Medium peels are designed for patients with more severe uneven skin tone, acne scarring, and deeper lines and wrinkles. Deep peels are for patients with sun damage, scars, severe discoloration, and even precancerous growths.
Chemical peels come in a variety of intensities, so they truly can be for everyone, no matter your comfort level. Talk to us about what chemical peel may be right for you..
